I am a graduate of the University of Texas (UT Health) Medical School in San Antonio where I earned my MD, PhD in molecular biology and completed a residency program for certification to practice clinical pathology.

After serving as an associate professor in the UT Department of Pathology, I joined PacificDx molecular laboratory in Orange County, California where I now serve as their medical director.

My fascination with genetics began during medical school and lead me to dedicate my medical career to analyzing specific genes as root causes of inheritable diseases, such as celiac, which run in families.
